Welcome to the Loud Noises Production Blog
I’m Ow, a recording engineer / producer / mixer based in Staffordshire, West Midlands. I work out of my private studio, Loud Noises Production, which is 30 minutes north of Birmingham. I’ve been producing music since the early 2000s, starting out as a guitarist recording demos for myself and local bands, before becoming obsessed with how records are made. That obsession led to my first studio job… and the rest is history! Since then, I’ve helped hundreds of artists craft and develop their sound in the studio, working extensively with rock, metal, hardcore, punk, emo, alt and indie bands (with the occasional pop and hip-hop record on the side). I moved into my first studio space, Loud Noises Production V.1, back in 2009. From there, I’ve been lucky enough to work with some amazing people across a range of studios and setups, learning from every session (and each challenge along the way). Why write a blog now?
